The Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following course during the Spring 2025 semester:
SW867 Critical Indigenous Analysis of Social Welfare Policy. This course focuses on critical and theoretical analyses of historical and contemporary social welfare policies and practices affecting Indigenous people in Canada. A wide array of Indigenous theory writings and public policies are introduced and reviewed to facilitate understanding Indigenous and decolonizing frameworks for social welfare policy analysis.
The semester class period is from May 5, 2025 to June 18, 2025 with the final exam period running from June 21 to 25, 2025.
Sessional Lecturers that are teaching remote classes are expected to teach 7 synchronous classes throughout the semester on Zoom.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Hybrid or Remote delivery via Zoom course during the Spring 2025 semester:
Synchronous class teaching times are from 5pm-7pm on the following days: May 9th, May 23rd
Synchronous class teaching from 10am-4.30pm on the following days: May 10th, May 24th, May 31st, June 7th and June 14th
The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on Zoom and in person (synchronous) for each of the 7 lectures, be in the Zoom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.
