Sustainability Manager – FTC

We’re looking for a Sustainability Manager to lead high-impact projects within the retail industry and help deliver meaningful social and environmental progress.

This is a Watford based role (2 days a week) paying £45K.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll use your analytical skills to provide evidence-based solutions that drive real change. You’ll collaborate with key industry stakeholders, manage sustainability projects, and contribute to the development of environmental methodologies, data systems, and governance frameworks.

What You’ll Do:

1. Manage and deliver key sustainability projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
2. Track progress against KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities.
3. Engage with industry stakeholders, technical experts, and partners to enhance impact.
4. Develop reports, presentations, and content that influence sustainability strategies.
5. Use data and insights to inform and continually improve sustainability initiatives.
6. Support internal teams in embedding sustainability into broader business activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working in Retail, FMCG, Grocery or any B2C product based business.
• Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability topics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to drive projects forward independently.
• Experience in Scope 3 reporting or environmental labelling.
• Knowledge of environmental methodologies, life cycle assessments, and governance frameworks.
