Furthermore, emerging climate regulations and guidelines for global financial institutions, such as OSFI Guideline B-15: Climate Risk Management, necessitate rigorous data measurement and decarbonization efforts within the organization. This position presents a significant opportunity to contribute to a growing initiative aimed at researching, innovating, and implementing data-driven solutions to support sustainability objectives.
The Sustainability Data Analyst will report to the Senior Sustainability Manager within Sun Life's Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the establishment of a data analytics program within the sustainability field. Responsibilities include supporting the development and execution of key sustainability goals and programs that align with Sun Life's business plans and objectives. The Sustainability Data Analyst will manage the collection of sustainability data and handle reporting, metrics, and dashboard creation derived from this data. The analyst will deliver analyses, either independently or collaboratively, to present findings, develop internal and external reports, and provide evidence to support sustainable proposals or implementation strategies. Additionally, the role involves liaising with partners and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to achieve common sustainability goals. The position may also require conducting market research or investigations on sustainability topics pertinent to large financial institutions, ensuring current efforts are up-to-date or adapting existing processes as necessary.
