Sushiwood is looking for F/T Cooks

Position: Cook

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $17.40~$20/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 2
Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

1. Prepare an extensive variety of foods utilizing standardized recipes
2. Maintain the food prep area and kitchen clean and sanitized
3. Maintain accurate food inventories
4. Ensure the production of high-quality merchandise
5. Oversee kitchen operation
6. May plan menus, regulate size of food portions, approximate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
7. May assist in hiring and recruitment of new staff

Job Requirements:

Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
Language: English
