Position Info:

• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $34.62~$36.00 /hour (depending on experience)
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Job Duties:

• Cook complete meals or foods such as sauces, salads, vegetables, and fish dishes
• Coordinate and oversee the restaurant’s food preparation and cooking processes
• Create menus and ensure that food adheres to quality standards
• Assess the needs and expenses for necessary supplies
• Manage inventory to monitor ingredient levels, ensure proper storage, and minimize waste
• Supervise activities of kitchen staff
• Assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff
• Train and instruct kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food
• Arrange for the purchase and repair of equipment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and food storage areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
