Summary: Receives, stores and issues stock of medical supplies and forms. Receives/ships, inspects and delivers office and medical supplies, medical equipment to the user departments. Records returned materials on document forms, initiates carrier pick-ups, places orders, purchasing and vendor direct, electronically via internet and millennium and records transactions. Maintains electronic supply back order system and advises departments of order status. Traces and follows up on orders as needed for departments. Inventories and balances assets.

Other information: High school (G.E.D.). Two to three years experience in a material management/inventory control environment preferred. Computer literacy.
Education: Essential: High School Diploma or GED.
Responsibilities:
Receives requests from OR staff for stock supplies, keys in electronic order on electronic DBS Millenium warehouse system, picks stock from warehouse inventory, confirms picked order on warehouse system and delivers supplies to designated departments.
Inventories user department storage areas utilizing Omnicell or departmental order forms.
Maintains and distributes all forms used by the OR department.
Makes scheduled department rounds to adjust and replenish Omnicell supply par levels.
Maintains up-to-date OR orders, records, reports, and files as required.
Receives incoming materials, supplies and equipment, and compares information on packing slips with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment and delivers to user department.
Maintains user department order records and files as required.
Inventories Material Management warehouse utilizing department order form and places order electronically for replacement.
Enters user department special orders on computer via the internet for office supplies and forms, forms or DBS millennium for all others.
Research all orders with vendors via telephone, internet or fax for best vendor, supply item availability, cost or part numbers.
