Job description

The Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Specialist is dedicated to enhancing the supply chain’s efficiency and effectiveness by implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a vital role in identifying areas for improvement, analyzing processes, and developing strategies to optimize workflow and eliminate waste.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify inefficiencies in warehouse operations and develop strategies for streamlining workflows, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity.
  2. Plan, facilitate and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.
  3. Continuously improve processes both on the production warehouse floor operations and transactional processes by collaborating with multiple functions such as logistics.
  4. Define clear deliverables, outcome metrics, and performance indicators to effectively measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Regularly monitor the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
  6. Develop, deliver, and enhance training programs to mentor and guide team members in adopting new processes, while creating clear, engaging training materials for both new hires and existing employees to ensure ongoing development and success.

Candidate may be required to carry out other responsibilities in order to meet changing business needs.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations or process improvement roles.
  3. Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
  4. Proficient in analyzing data using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  5. Experience with WMS or ERP systems (an asset).
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and engage team members at all levels.
  8. Bilingual (French and English), spoken and written.
