About Us

McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

You will be responsible for the daily coordination and operation of the warehouse facilities on your shift to meet site requirements for materials receipt, storage, handling, inventory and retrieval.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with maintenance, planning, engineering, purchasing and operations to optimize the warehouse operations to meet site requirements
  • Provide supervisory and technical direction to warehouse personnel to ensure that all safety, regulatory and environmental requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize warehouse operations and meet site requirements
  • Be responsible for identifying and developing continual improvement projects

Required:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of eight years of warehousing experience in a mining or industrial environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and an ERP system
  • Ability to gain Saskatchewan supervisory certification
  • Knowledge of inventory and maintenance management systems
  • Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

  • WHMIS
  • SAP experience
  • Knowledge of mining and OH&S regulations
  • Transportation of dangerous goods certification
  • Waste dangerous goods and hazardous substance training
  • Experience using software and mobile technology to perform daily warehouse activities
