Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Human Services Planning & Program Support, the Supervisor of Program Integrity leads a multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with community partners and staff from across the Social and Community Services department to provide system navigation, program compliance and records management. Committed to fostering innovation and continuous improvement, the Supervisor promotes collaboration to facilitate effective service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with current policies, procedures and initiatives at both the regional and provincial level.
- Plan, administer and evaluate the effective and efficient delivery of the programs within the Program Integrity Team.
- Apply strategic and conceptual thinking skills in order to analyze, interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policies.
- Work effectively with senior management from across the department to address emerging issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery and implement strategic initiatives.
- Support the Halton Region Community Safety and Well-Being plan, which may include participation on action tables and/or the Situation Table.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to staff to support their success and career growth.
- Monitor the team’s budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in the field of Social Services or Human Services.
- Minimum five years progressive management experience in a Social Services environment.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationship management, inter-personal and communication skills.
- Strong political acuity to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including but not limited to: Ontario Works Act, Child Care and Early Years Act, Family Law Act, Housing Services Act, Ontario Disability Support Program Act, Freedom of Information and Privacy Protection Act.
- Proficiency in using SAMS, SALIS, OCCMS, Microsoft M365.
- Sound knowledge of community services network and resources.
- Understanding of budgeting and financial oversight.
- Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Working/ Employment Conditions
- Travel will be required; incumbent must supply their own transportation.
- The incumbent may be required to fulfill roles and responsibilities outlined in the Halton Region Emergency Social Services plan. Roles and responsibilities may include coordinating an emergency social services response and on-call duties. Additional hours and shift work may be required to fulfill these functions.

- The successful candidate will be made an offer of employment on condition that the Regional Municipality of Halton receives a current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Police Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screen by the first day of employment.
