As a member of the Game Entertainment and Production department of the Toronto Blue Jays, this position is responsible for assisting with the planning and executing of game-day entertainment and promotional elements at Rogers Centre. This incumbent will report directly to the Manager of Game Production and will be a key contributor to all live entertainment at Blue Jays home games. Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Game Entertainment and Production team to ideate new in-game promotions, activations, and video concepts.
  • Assist in the execution of game-day entertainment and logistics of each game.
  • Help with the writing, management, and delivery of all game-day scripts.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating trackers for expenses, partnership requests and inventory tracking.
  • Assist with the management of anthem and first pitch scheduling and coordinate the requests of ticket and jersey orders for guests of the Toronto Blue Jays game entertainment team.
  • Assist with floor directing of game entertainment, pregame, and in-game elements.
  • Help ideate and source uniforms, costumes and props for mascots and J FORCE.
  • Stay up-to-date with current social trends to create and pitch relevant and new concepts.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a collaborative culture across internal departments and game day teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years past work experience in Broadcast Journalism preferred.
  • Post-secondary education preferred in Production, Journalism, Radio and Television, or Marketing.
  • Knowledge of the game of baseball is an asset.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for music, pop culture and sports.
  • Able and willing to work all Toronto Blue Jays home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
