We currently have an opening for a
Summer Student – Workshop Technician for the summer of 2025. In this role, the
Summer Student will be working in the Sandvik Lively Component Workshop repairing components and assisting with other duties where required.
Are you an up-and-coming tradesperson who would like to gain exposure to the mining industry? We want to hear from you!Please note that student positions are offered on a full-time or part-time contract basis for a maximum of 90 days.What You Will Be Doing- Supporting the Lively Component and Equipment shops
- Assisting with rebuild components in order to learn our process
- Disassembling and reassembling equipment
- Assisting with equipment repairs
- Supporting a variety of functions for the Parts & Services team
What You Will Bring Along- Working towards the completion of a post-secondary education within Heavy Duty, Automotive or Truck and Coach Mechanics or related field
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
