Ontario Redimix, A CRH Company is currently hiring Operations Summer Students for the 2025 construction season!

Contract Length: 4 months (May 5, 2025 – August 29, 2025)

What you will do:

1. Plant and field testing of concrete and aggregate materials.
2. Adding materials to ready-mixed concrete trucks and general plant upkeep duties.
3. Daily communication with operations and quality departments.
4. General concrete and aggregate laboratory duties.
5. Follow all necessary health & safety directives in accordance with legislative and CRH requirements.
6. Assist Managers & Supervisors with other assigned work as required.

Educational Criteria:

1. Enrolled in Diploma or Degree in Civil, Construction, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering Technology or any similar field.

Working Conditions:

1. Field/Lab environment.
2. Travel to plants and job sites within the region.
3. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
4. Working outdoors and varied temperatures and weather conditions.

Position Dimensions:

1. Safety oriented.
2. Strong analytical skills.
3. Knowledge of the geographic area you are applying for and ability to read and understand maps, an asset.
4. Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
5. Computer knowledge.
6. Team oriented, willing to help out in all areas of the department.
7. Customer-focused mindset.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Must have a valid G driver’s license.
