Summer Student Labourers

The closing deadline does not apply. The position shall be filled in accordance with the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and CUPE Local 726.

Summer positions will be available in the following roles: Parks Labourer, Roads & Drainage Labourer, and Playpark Leader. Students are responsible for providing additional labour support on City projects or customer service for summer programs.

General Job Requirements:

1. No experience required
2. Grade 12 or equivalent
3. Must be a maximum of 30 years of age at the start of the employment
4. Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
5. Valid Class 5 Driver's license and Clean Driver's Abstract (not required for Playpark Leaders)
6. Clear Criminal Record Check
7. Proof of Post-Secondary Registration
8. Standard First Aid, CPR, valid Pool Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Certification (only required for Playpark Leaders)
