Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring Summer Students on a temporary basis (May-August 2025) on our Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.
Shift 8 or 12 hrs shifts average 37.33 hrs over 9-week schedule.
Are you currently in a post-secondary program with a focus in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology and looking for a summer job to gain hands-on laboratory experience? Our Laboratory department at the Co-op Refinery Complex wants you to join them for the summer!
What You’ll Do:
- Follow established health and safety procedures.
- Obtain accurate results using established procedures (ASTM, CGSB).
- Basic maintenance and operation of lab equipment as per established methods.
- Obtain samples from process streams and/or tankage.
- Duties are primarily of a physical nature on a shift work rotation, including weekends and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You’ll Work With:The Team: You will work closely as part of the lab team along with operations and engineering. The lab strives to cultivate a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The Customers: You will demonstrate a customer focus by providing the CRC and CRS team with timely, accurate and reliable results.

Who You Are:- Have a Grade 12 diploma and are currently enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student and returning to your full-time post-secondary studies in the fall in a diploma/certificate in Chemical Technology/Biotechnology or a B.Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry program.
- Have completed at least one Organic Chemistry and one Analytical Chemistry class as part of your program.
- Possess a good mechanical aptitude and are physically capable to perform lab and general maintenance work.
- Are prepared to participate in and successfully complete the additional Lab Training Programs required.
