Summer Student, General Labour

We are looking for motivated and hardworking Summer Students to join our team performing general labour at our Côté Gold mine site. This role provides hands-on experience in a mining environment, offering a great opportunity to develop skills while contributing to daily site operations.

This role will be based at our Côté Gold mine site (Gogama, Ontario) on a 14 on, 14 off rotational schedule.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties:

• Perform general labour tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and assisting various departments.
• Support teams with site preparation, inventory counts, maintaining general tidiness/housekeeping activities.
• Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and moving or gathering supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Support site services, maintenance, or production teams with general duties as needed.
• Work in outdoor conditions and adhere to site safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary school program.
• Must be a minimum age of 17.

Additional Qualifications – Competency Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work in field conditions.
• Ability to work as a valuable team member in an industrialized remote workplace.
• Capability to work an extended shift schedule primarily in the outdoor environment.
• Familiarity with light machinery such as pick-up trucks, lawn mowers, and hand tools. Computer proficiency.
