Summer Student Feedmill Labourer

Flexible Start Date - Summer Student Position

The Summer Student Mill Labourer plays a key support role within the feed mill team assisting in ingredient handling, sampling, cleaning and operational support. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

1. Receive & unload bulk ingredients
2. Assist in loading feed trucks
3. Housekeeping: follow cleaning schedule
4. Maintenance: monitor mill for leaks, dust accumulation or other concerns
5. Track inventories
6. Collect samples from incoming grain trucks
7. Test samples for moisture, bushel weight and vomi toxin
8. Perform particle size testing & record results
9. Maintain paperwork of all testing
10. Perform other duties assigned by the Mill Management

Requirements

1. Good communication skills
2. Valid Class 5 Driver's License
3. Agricultural experience an asset but not needed
