WorkSafeNB is looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Student to support our Corporate Strategy and Planning Team. You will take day-to-day direction from the Performance Specialist and will be given guidance and support from the entire Corporate Strategy and Planning Team. You will help the Performance Specialist solve operational and strategic process problems to improve service delivery, client experience and employee engagement. You will achieve these goals by applying statistical analysis techniques, process mapping, and data trending, to inform business decisions.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

  1. Working with the Performance Specialist to clearly identify specific business problems to be solved.
  2. Gather data and apply statistical techniques to analyze the data in a meaningful way.
  3. Create process flow diagrams.
  4. Create summary documents of findings, observations, and recommendations.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

  1. Must be a high school graduate and currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
  2. Comfortable with MicroSoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  3. An aptitude for using data, mathematics, and/or statistics in real-life situations.

Hourly Rates for Students:

  1. High school completed $16.15.
  2. 1 year of post-secondary completed $16.65.
  3. 2 years of post-secondary completed $17.15.
  4. 3 years of post-secondary completed $17.65.
  5. 4 years of post-secondary completed $18.15.

Written and spoken competency in English is required.
