Bayshore seeks RN and RPN Students to work as Summer Student Personal Support Workers in the Hamilton/Burlington Area!

Work a temporary PSW position as a Summer Student from April or May – August 31, 2025. Option to continue employment into Fall 2025, terms and conditions apply.

Casual position with the potential to work up to part-time or full-time hours.

Wage: $24.41 per hour + travel pay

2 Availability Options: 7a-3p and 3p-11p
Bayshore selects availability based on scheduling needs at time of hire.

The PSW Role:

Bayshore PSWs provide personal care services to clients living in the community. With this support and assistance, Bayshore clients are able to remain in the comfort of their own home, enhancing their quality of life, dignity, and independence.

Our PSWs assist clients with activities of daily living, according to the care plan, as well as provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support, and complete other assigned tasks such as meal preparation, laundry and monitoring household safety.

Client Care plans may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, feeding, special diets, assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminders.

PSWs perform specialized client specific procedures with clinical training and support; completed care and observations of client conditions are documented.

Qualifications:

  • RN Students: completion of year 2 nursing program.
  • RPN Students: completion of year 1 nursing program.
  • Valid driver’s license (G or G2).
  • Reliable vehicle and ability to drive independently.
  • Able to work every other weekend.
  • Able to provide a workday availability that fits our client service needs.
  • Updated Immunization Records, vulnerable sector check.
  • Proof of Education or Transcripts will be required.
