WHO WE NEED
ROM’s Learning & Programs team is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Administrator to support the ROM Summer Club—one of Toronto’s most beloved summer day camps. For over 80 years, Summer Club has delivered hands-on, experiential programs inspired by ROM’s collections in art, culture, and nature. As Lead Administrator, you’ll play a key operational role, ensuring smooth day-to-day camp coordination, exceptional caregiver communication, and safe, organized program delivery.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Support the daily operations of the camp, including managing schedules, supervising routines, and coordinating lunch and break supervision.
- Maintain and track the program budget, ensuring responsible and accurate financial administration.
- Oversee inventory, acquire supplies, and ensure materials meet health and safety standards.
- Manage staff schedules and assist with payroll administration.
- Lead and supervise assistant staff, lead assistants, and volunteers to ensure program quality and consistency.
- Act as the main point of contact for caregivers, providing timely and professional communication.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy in incident reporting, first aid documentation, and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and preparedness of ROMKids spaces, labs, and galleries.
- Support additional administrative and operational needs, such as registration logistics, pre-care/extended care, and material distribution.
WHAT YOU BRING- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in educational or camp-based environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to supervise a team and ensure alignment with programming goals.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Capacity to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks.
- Intermediate computer literacy and well-developed administrative capabilities.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
SALARY & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT- START DATE: May 3, 2025
