• Part Time - 2-3 shifts per week
• Full Time - 4-5 shifts per week (work at least 7 out of 9 weeks)

The main responsibility of this position is to lead a group of children, ranging from ages 4-15, in a fun, safe and enriching summer day camp experience. The Kids at Blue Camp Counselor is accountable for developing and implementing a summer program including a variety of outdoor activities; kayaking, ropes courses, climbing wall, golf putting course, tennis, swimming, and hiking.

• Greeting and engaging all guests as they arrive.
• Working with the team of Counselors to develop, facilitate and engage children in indoor, age appropriate, activity plans (daily and weekly) including: team building exercises, creative arts and crafts and interactive games.
• Confidently and attentively supervising children in all indoor and outdoor programs including deep water activities; such as kayaking.
• Conducting daily safety discussions with children prior to participating in activities.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work space (i.e. cleaning and organizing equipment, lunch supplies) and preparing materials and equipment for daily activities and returning at the end of the day.

• At least 16 years of age
• A genuine enjoyment of working with children and having fun at work!
• Knowledge of BMR resort and activities an asset.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Successful applicants (18yrs of age or older) will be required to complete a Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector Search)
