Armbrae Academy was founded in 1887 and is a co-educational PreK to grade 12 University preparatory school with 265 students. Armbrae offers a structured but informal atmosphere that provides students an opportunity to form close relationships with peers and teachers. Armbrae is a member in good standing of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) and is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development for Nova Scotia to grant the Nova Scotia high school leaving certificate.
Position Overview
We are looking for exceptional Occasional/Substitute Teachers to cover a variety of academic areas in our Senior (Grade 10-12), Middle (Grade 7 – 9) and Junior (PreK – Grade 6) schools. The successful candidates will be responsible for covering classes and continuing the program of learning as well as creating an engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Office of Teacher Certification and holds an endorsed Elementary Teacher Certificate or endorsed Secondary Teacher Certificate or equivalent provincial or other certification.
