HDR is currently seeking a Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in Western Canada.
The Substation Civil/Structural Engineer has broad technical knowledge and experience with the structural design components of high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects up to 500 kV, including physical substation design, steel structure calculations and design, and foundation design. Leveraging that knowledge and experience, they work in close coordination with Project Managers (PM) and project teams in multiple office locations to lead, oversee, support, review, and/or execute the structural engineering and design components of substation projects. The Substation Civil/Structural Engineer may also train, mentor, and guide junior engineers across the practice and help develop and implement best practices to advance our capabilities across this discipline.
