About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Subrogation Claims Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance claims and subrogation processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle complex cases with minimal supervision. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders to recover funds owed to the company.
What you'll do here:
- Review, investigate, and support with large loss subrogation claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability and the potential for subrogation recovery.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to pursue litigation for unresolved or disputed claims, if necessary.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to adjusters, fostering their professional development and enhancing their subrogation skills.
- Conduct roundtables to improve the team's knowledge of subrogation processes, best practices, and industry trends.
- Review and provide feedback on the work of subrogation adjusters to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead negotiations with responsible parties, insurance companies, or legal representatives to achieve optimal settlements for large loss claims.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications, negotiations, and settlements.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of subrogation claims.
- Work closely with internal teams, including adjusters, underwriters, and legal counsel, to gather necessary information and support subrogation efforts.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including insured parties, third-party insurers, and legal representatives, to facilitate the subrogation process.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to management on the status and outcomes of large loss subrogation claims.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to subrogation and insurance claims.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in insurance claims handling, with a strong focus on subrogation and large loss claims.
- Proven track record of successful recoveries in high-value and complex subrogation cases.
- Experience in mentoring and training adjusters.
- Superior analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple large loss claims and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to subrogation and insurance claims.
Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:
$88,400.00 - $132,600.00
