Expected Salary: $65,514 to $98,271

Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and awarding Subcontracts for the Aviation Sector.
- Evaluate opportunities to utilise and establish Standing Offer Agreements or other procurement mechanisms.
- Work in collaboration with Project Managers to develop Statements of Work (SOW).
- Analyse supplier proposals and establish negotiation strategies.
- Provide updates for weekly Subcontract meetings.
- Support the Commercial Team to ensure complete flow down of Contract requirements.
- Ensure all subcontracts meet relevant Babcock Canada policies.
- Work closely with the broader Procurement & Supply Chain Team.
- Work closely with export compliance personnel.
Contract Administration:
- Act as the primary liaison with the Subcontractor.
- Work closely with Babcock Canada teams to ensure subcontractor compliance.
- Resolve Subcontractor issues through continuous improvement approaches.
- Manage supplier performance to cost, delivery/schedule, quality, technical and contractual requirements.
- Provide cost savings through negotiations.
- Grow supplier relationships to ensure continued or improved performance levels.
- Ensure that supplier’s invoices are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for reporting and achieving program milestones.
- Maintain change order requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 4-8 years of experience preferably in complex engineering environment.
- A Bachelor of Commerce, Economics, or degree/diploma in a related field.
- Knowledge of commercial business practices.
- Experience sourcing, negotiating target rates, and awarding subcontracts.
- Program or Project Management skills.
- Team player with leadership skills.
- Ability to use MS Project and the suite of MS Office.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Preferred experience in Aviation, Defence or Public Works projects.
- IACCM, APICS, CPSM, CSCP, SCMA or other Certification is an asset.
- Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and ITAR Clearances.
