The Sir James Whitney School is looking to fill on-call supply positions to provide support to the Lodging program. Applicants should be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
The Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf is a community-based bilingual/bicultural School for the Deaf, under the Ministry of Education, Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch with a tradition and reputation for meeting the academic, language, cultural, and social needs of Deaf or Hard of Hearing children.
The student lodging program is an extension of the school program for students who do not live close enough to access daily transportation.
Academic and student lodging programs support each other in the provision of a comprehensive curriculum. The School Principal and Student Support Manager work together toward a successful experience for all students.
