For over 20 years QYU has provided ministry to youth in the Quinte area, including evangelism & discipleship, community outreach, trips & events, student leadership, school partnerships, sports programs, and camp experiences. We are hiring a leader to serve youth in local high schools and in the community. This ministry has been strongly supported by local community churches, businesses and teams of adult volunteers and student leaders.

Job Description:
As a missionary with QYU (YFC), the Student Outreach ministry leader will work alongside other staff in the creation and implementation of outreach programs for the spiritual and social development of teenagers and children.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Build, develop and oversee an outreach ministry to youth using Relational Ministry Actions
- Model relational youth evangelism ministry and discipleship
- Build relationships with youth, volunteers, parents, pastors, youth leaders, school and community leaders
- Network with local churches, schools and community partners to assist with youth related issues & events
- Identify, recruit and develop and maintain youth and adult volunteers for team ministry
- Partner with other staff and youth leaders in shared ministry events and programs
- Provide facilitative and Christ-like leadership
- Devote significant time in prayer & fasting for God’s provision & leadership
- Help develop ministry and budget plans, including fundraising goals and activities
- Public relations presentations, including speaking, writing partner communications & social media
- Attend regular supervision and staff meetings including reporting and administrative duties
- Complete national training program and attend local, regional and national conferences
Qualifications:
- Ability to be self-directed, with good organizational, time management and delegation skills
- Experience with youth culture, church culture and ministry to marginalized youth
- Strong relational and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Dynamic personality, confident leadership
- Passionate for relational ministry, regular church community involvement, healthy practice of sharing the Gospel
- Event planning and administration experience
- Volunteer management experience to direct groups of people, including children and youth
- Must have transportation or access to a vehicle
- Ability to make a 5 year commitment
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to fundraise
- A University or College degree, or significant experience in related field
