About this opportunity:

The Student Intern, Information Security, will work closely with the Global Information Security team to assist with formalizing security activities and related documentation.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and within cross-functional teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to be a team player
• Ability to efficiently learn a variety of new skills and take initiative
• Ability to interpret security activities into meaningful procedural documentation
• Experience with information security solutions and software products
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Scripting skills, integration knowledge, and/or data analysis is considered an asset

Activities:

• Assist team members with various security solution management and monitoring as required
• Participate in security solution development and testing
• Identify opportunities for potential new solutions based on observations of activities and solutions already in place
• Create and deliver follow-up communications to various teams for security findings/reports and/or incidents
• Participate in project management and risk management activities
• Having fun while learning more about information security and what it means in a real-world environment

Physical Demands:

• Duties of this position are performed in an office setting with exposure to manufacturing environments.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Experience: No formal experience required

Education: Currently enrolled in an Internship program completing 2nd or 3rd year of a 4-year University program or 2nd year of 3-year Diploma in any program that provides exposure to information security-related courses
