You are a seasoned Structural Steel Superintendent with 8+ years of field operations experience working in multi-disciplinary large-scale, commercial projects. You will be responsible for structural steel scope for a complex ICI project, ensuring company policies and procedures for safety, scheduling, budget, quality control and client satisfaction are met, while using industry knowledge and experience to drive long-term objectives.

Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of a single complex commercial construction project to completion.
- Ensure that superintendents are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes while ensuring that safety regulations are strictly followed.
- Actively participate in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planning.
- Participate in the hiring and managing of hourly employees as required, and maintain, approve, and submit hourly timecards with all necessary details for job costing purposes.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunities.
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Apply the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
- Ensure project materials are supplied, and work is completed in compliance with the Project Quality Program.
- Develop, maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
- Strategically plan and implement manpower levels and material quantities; ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required.
- Assume a leadership role and provide guidance to project team members in order to contribute to their development and career growth.
- Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression.
- Oversee project reporting that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections and other relevant information.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a high-performing team and build solid long-term relationships with external clients and consultants.
- Experience working on civil and earthworks scopes on construction projects within healthcare, data centers, aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, and other complex projects.
- Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry-related trade certification/education.
- Expertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations.
- Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations.
- Expertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development.
- Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
