Based in Huntsville, the Structural Engineering Technician (Summer Student) will have a wide range of duties which focus on assisting in all aspects of structural engineering project delivery.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:

1. Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
2. Work on the preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects (i.e. transportation structures, commercial, residential, and industrial buildings)
3. Assist with preliminary and detailed design and drawing preparation for various engineering projects
4. Assist with specification writing, drawing preparations, and tender quantity estimating
5. Ensure plans are in compliance with applicable standards and drafting requirements
6. Participate in the inspection and contract administration of engineering projects

What You Should Bring:

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant field of study (Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering). Additionally, you should bring:

1. Experience in the use of Total Station and GPS Survey Equipment is considered an asset
2. High motivation with results-oriented focus
3. Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills
4. Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
6. Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
8. Valid Class G driver’s licence
