The Manager, Strategic Priorities is a strategic leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring marketing strategies that drive growth in our key priority areas: Local, Multicultural, and Win In Fresh. Reporting to the VP Marketing - Full Service, this role leads initiatives that differentiate our grocery business through innovative approaches to these strategic priorities.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive marketing strategies for Local, Multicultural, and Fresh initiatives aligned with the broader Altitude strategy, while maintaining brand identities for Sobeys and Safeway
  • Guide medium/long-term strategic planning that establishes clear priorities over 6-12 month horizons
  • Lead pilot projects from concept to execution, analyzing results and scaling successful initiatives across the network, partnering with Banner/Category teams to embed
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing CoE to shape creative direction and media planning where required
  • Advocate effectively for marketing priorities and ensure they are integrated into banner plans and briefs
  • Prepare for and lead "Task Force" meetings with key stakeholders, and other recurring meetings as necessary
  • Develop data-driven marketing strategies for promotional activities, focused on Altitude initiatives
  • Create and analyze quarterly scorecards and Altitude scorecards to measure progress
  • Provide mentorship and direction to direct report
  • Foster a high-performance team culture focused on disciplined planning and execution
