Store Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to lead our new store in the heart of Victoria. The store sells Tours, Treats and Gifts, all locally sourced to support smaller businesses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, sourcing goods, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both customers and staff. The Store Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's standards and sourcing local goods to help support small businesses in our community.

Duties

• Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
• Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining store appearance.
• Implement effective sales strategies to enhance retail performance.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a high-performing team.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding pricing and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Foster a positive shopping environment by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Experience

• 5 years management experience in either retail, confectionary, tours, or a similar role.
• Experience in local goods sourcing, barista, or specialty treats is a plus.
• Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in math for handling transactions and managing budgets.
• Familiarity with retail sales strategies and POS systems is essential.
• Experience in recruiting and training staff is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed.
