About the Role: Oakberry is an exciting healthy fast-food company that is rapidly growing throughout Western Canada. We are looking for someone to lead our 626 Broadway Ave store in Saskatoon. You will be reporting to the store owners and assisting in maintaining company policies, standards, and the day-to-day operations, which includes serving customers, scheduling shifts, ordering products for the store, and maintaining inventory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a positive and friendly environment for customers and staff by motivating the team.
- Ensure team members are following procedures and best practices (e.g., checking & logging inventory and equipment temperatures, rotating supplies correctly, adhering to safety and health guidelines).
- Ensure the appropriate amount of inventory is ordered, stocked, and received.
- Employee shift scheduling.
- Address any issues or concerns to the store owners.
- Use and train employees on how to use Square and mobile ordering apps.
- Monitor delivery times and ensure the team is meeting the 2-minute turnaround time per item.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the store (e.g., greeting and serving customers, preparing and packaging in-store and mobile orders, cleaning customer and employee areas, and keeping the store prepped and stocked).
- Ensure team members are knowledgeable about all Oakberry products (e.g., nutritional information, prices, and making suggestions based on the product).
- Have an in-depth understanding of the brand and why consumers should be excited about our products.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and work with the team to develop strategies to boost sales.
- Lead catering initiatives by promoting our offerings, managing catering orders, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Analyze sales performance and implement plans to reach revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience leading a team.
- Possess a valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate.
- Able to communicate and listen effectively with customers and de-escalate any situations that may arise.
- Basic understanding of computers.
- Previous experience in customer service roles.
Preferred Skills
- Detail-oriented and process-driven.
- Familiar with kitchen tools and supplies.
- Knowledge of mobile ordering apps.
- Experience in meeting sales goals and developing strategies for customer engagement.
- Familiarity with catering operations, from marketing to logistics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
