Startup Launchpad Instructors for Spring & Summer Online and In-Person Teen Courses (Part/Time Contract)

Circuit Stream is a leader in future technology skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners with a focus on the skills needed to leverage immersive and emerging technology.

We are seeking passionate entrepreneurs, innovation managers, or product managers to teach our Startup Launchpad courses for learners aged 13-18 offered both in-person at campuses in Canada and U.S. and Online (via Zoom)! Students will be learning the process of turning innovative ideas into viable businesses from ideation, market analysis, business modeling, marketing, and pitching, to developing their own startup projects. The ideal instructor candidates for this course should possess a strong foundation in product development, innovation, and entrepreneurism, as well as some teaching, TA, or training experience.

Our Startup Launchpad courses will be offered at multiple times in the formats and locations below (subject to enrollments). Please indicate your availability and location as part of this application process. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to teach during the day (8am - 3pm PT) in March, June, July, and August, both online and in-person. Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following the Startup Launchpad course curriculum.
• Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they design a detailed business model, create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and prepare a persuasive pitch for a mock panel of investors.
• Showcase proficiency in market research, product development, and pitch preparation.
• Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.

Requirements

• Availability to teach during the day (between the hours of 8am to 3pm PT) in Spring and Summer 2025.
• Previous professional experience in product management or entrepreneurial roles.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or innovation.
• Proficiency in market research, MVP development, and product pitches.
• Deep understanding of the Lean Canvas methodology.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
• A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
• A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
