Analyst – Disputes, Claims & Investigations Consulting

An Analyst within our Disputes, Claims & Investigations group is expected to have assignments in a variety of industries. Assignments may include litigation/dispute matters for which damages are determined, forensic accounting, and fraud investigations. Most projects will typically result in the creation of financial damages models and exhibits.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of schedules and graphical exhibits summarizing results of analytics
  2. Performance of quality control procedures for client deliverables
  3. Perform industry, company, or technical research
  4. Review, organize, and analyze project documents and information
  5. Analyze financial statements and supporting financial and operational schedules and data
  6. Develop and review economic damage models in various contexts
  7. Prepare written reports and exhibits
  8. Attend client meetings and calls

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  2. Ability to critically analyze financial information and accounting records
  3. Understanding of financial and accounting information used in business operations
  4. Ability to focus on details
  5. A strong work ethic, innovative thinking, and a positive attitude
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  7. Ability to develop and critique alternative arguments/opinions
  8. Ability to conduct thorough research
  9. Excellent team player
  10. Ability to work with changing client/court-imposed deadlines
  11. Strong organizational skills
  12. Ability to work independently
  13. Ability to multi-task
  14. Ability to interact in a professional manner with clients and employees

Education and/or Training:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; one to two years of audit, financial compliance, or other related professional services experience.
