Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Architect role is responsible to:
- Ensure CSA Group’s enterprise systems, services and technology solutions are built, implemented and maintained for high availability, scalability, security, integrity, and supportability.
- Identify gaps and drive solutions for critical systems, services and technologies.
- Have advanced technical knowledge and a wide range of understanding in new and emerging IT technologies.
- Provide recommendations on new technologies and solutions, in support of business direction to meet either revenue growth, profitability targets, operational efficiencies, or to manage risk.
Understanding the Business
- Deep subject matter expertise of CSA Group’s systems, services and technologies.
- Strong understanding of entire CSA Group IT architectural or technical landscape, including integrations and interdependencies.
- Strong understanding of business requirements and implements IT Projects for Global strategic solutions (either application or infrastructure related).
- Participates in architecting solutions using industry standard concepts.
- Manages solution design based on detailed business requirements.
- Prepares technical specifications and documents that effectively translate requirements into IT tasks to deliver acceptable business solutions.
- Provides recommendations on emerging technologies and assists in planning roadmaps to support new technology.
- Establishes development guidelines based on industry best practice.
- Consumes services provided by third party vendors.
- Protects CSA Group’s information assets.
Working Well with Others
- Supports core IT and/or Business Leaders through communication and solution design for all IT projects.
- Provides technical guidance and consultation to project and IT team members.
- May lead and facilitate technical discussions, or process improvement teams, participating in design sessions, and transform requirements into IT solutions.
- Communicates expectations well to other team members.
- Mentors and coaches other IT employees, supporting professional growth.
Delivering Results
- Provides design, configuration, testing, deployment, management and monitoring of critical infrastructure, systems and services, for projects or upgrades, on a global scale.
- Applies troubleshooting, prioritization and coordination skills to assign and resolve escalated issues.
- Seeks, recommends and implements process improvement opportunities.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in related technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (including hybrid) services, design, topology, and products including but not limited to: Exchange, SharePoint online, Skype for Business, and OneDrive.
- Experience with MS Entra ID, MS Sentinel, MS Purview, MS Defender preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Deployments, Environment & Services (IAAS, PAAS, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, Automation, Monitor, OMS) highly preferred.
- Experience with any of the following considered an asset: Darktrace, Netskope, Rapid 7, Snyk, Cloudflare.
- Experience in the design and automation of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, websites, and data services.
- Desire to learn and become familiar with new technologies; assimilate knowledge quickly and effectively.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
