Position Overview:
The Senior Supervisor, Production and Sewing is responsible for coordinating and planning the activities of the sewing floor, ensuring the teams are performing at a high level and reaching daily targets. Provide Leadership to the sewing floor.
What You’ll Do:
- Review the Production Schedule daily and plan work for all lines (Bundling/ Marking/ Down fill)
- Review the approved Sample with the Manual before production starts
- Work with the Industry Engineering Techs to calculate the manpower requirement and balance lines for optimum output.
- Identify Training requirements for each section/line and coordinate with the Training Supervisor
- Review low performance (Efficiency & Quality) and work with them to create action plans for improvements.
- Provide a safe environment within the department and Manufacturing floor
- Request Time studies to be done on a timely basis
- Review all Production boards are up to date with accurate information for all.
- Review reports and make decisions promptly
- Review with maintenance staff for all equipment is in working condition and used for the right operation
- Continuously find ways to improve the process flow to maximize output.
- Communicate and update direct reports for business updates/ Union grievances/ Management decisions.
Let's Talk About You:
- Over 10 years of Apparel Manufacturing experience
- 5 years of Supervisory position (Preferably in Apparel Industry)
- Ability to sew and follow Manual
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
- Must be familiar with Sewing operations and Machines (industrial type)
- Ability to read and write in English
- Able to prioritize work and delegate tasks
- Update the Management periodically with solutions/ action
- Must be familiar with computers and business software such as MS Office, Excel
