What you’ll be doing:
As a Senior Security Service Manager in Cybersecurity service management team, you will work with other internal teams to build or maintain requirements for your security services and ensure that current technology and processes are meeting those requirements. You will build and sustain a robust service health monitoring process. Where necessary, you will undertake projects in partnership with various internal teams to effect changes in your services. This might involve building new processes or changing current processes to close the gaps in service or adoption of new technology. You will be expected to maintain knowledge of emerging trends and technology in your service areas. You will also work collaboratively with other service managers in the overall Security Service Management team to ensure that your services account for changes in other related services and keep others informed about your planned changes. The Senior Security Service Manager is responsible for one or more security services and works with other internal teams to ensure that services under their purview are functioning smoothly.

How you’ll succeed:
Network Security Program: Maintain and enhance the program specifically focusing on security service capabilities via development of roadmaps in collaboration with key stakeholders across the bank. Facilitate input across the organization to ensure everyone’s opinion is considered when solutioning for projects on behalf of the enterprise. As a business lead, execute on Network security projects, provide governance and oversight including managing total cost of operations.
Continuous Improvement: Drive and support continuous improvement of the network security capabilities by leading a working group comprised of subject matter experts across the bank. Manage centralized reporting of key processes to ensure their effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with management objectives. Communicate results within Information Security and CIBC on the analysis, interpretation, strategy and execution of projects while also providing solutions for existing and future risks and vulnerabilities in order to assess the security posture of CIBC.
Relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships with important internal stakeholders, especially leaders of technology groups whose work is critical to the success of cyber security at CIBC, and business groups that are impacted by cyber security controls. Gain and maintain executive support for the network security program through creation of business cases, delivery of presentations to senior management, etc.
Consulting: Take on a consultative approach when checking for Information Security control use and work with internal/external stakeholders to monitor threat environment and contribute to adjustments of security service plans. Analyze trends in information security and perform benchmarking against external organizations through participation in external thought forums.
Who you are:
You can demonstrate experience in Information and Cyber security management with a key focus on Network security controls like NGFW, network based malware detection, segmentation, IDS/IPS etc. You have practical experience with governance and management of key network security controls, strong understanding of cyber security, and strong analytical storytelling skills. It’s an asset if you have a CISSP, GCIH, GMON, or similar certification.
