About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm with flexibility around start/end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About you:

You are a reporting wizard. You excel at extracting, sorting, and analyzing data with a great deal of accuracy in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders. Your superpower is being detail-oriented and focused while utilizing your amazingly proficient Excel skills. You thrive working with a tight-knit team in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

About the qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with regulatory reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of one of the following regulators (OSFI, CDIC, AMF).
  • Advanced level of Excel, and ability to work with data using tools including SQL and XML.
  • Good judgment and demonstrated sound decision-making skills, highly motivated, and has a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable, flexible, innovative, and responsive to change.
  • Ability to grasp business concepts in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-entity environment.
  • Professional designation such as CPA or CFA equivalent training or experience.

About the day-to-day:

  • Preparing complex regulatory financial returns.
  • Data extraction, collation, and analysis.
  • Complete special projects, such as developing automated templates to streamline work and supporting software implementation and changes.
  • Support other members of the Regulatory Reporting team to manage high work volume and provide backup in their absence.
  • Review and monitor regulatory existing and new guidelines to ensure full compliance.

Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $75,000 and $85,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
