About the Opportunity

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer to help us build the future of our products. The ideal candidate is an empathic thinker who's able to navigate between complex system thinking and the smaller details. You deeply care about people and are able to effectively collaborate with others to deliver world-class experiences while displaying strong visual chops to bring any vision to life. As a Senior Product Designer you'll join a very talented and passionate design team. We believe that we>me and deeply care for the people we design and work with. Together, we'll push the boundaries of excellence and ship outstanding products that people love to use. You'll mentor and support other designers and help us to solve complex problems and build the future of our mobile native apps, dashboards, flows and TV interfaces while contributing to our overall design culture.

This is a contract position to cover a parental leave for 12-14 months, with the potential for extension to full-time based on performance and business needs.

Job Duties

• Mentor and support other designers and ensure a consistent experience across all touch points.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, content, data and other designers to build thoughtful and informed products.
• Provide effective solutions to complex problems by analyzing and understanding business requirements and user needs.
• Design high-quality, modern, scalable and accessible interfaces, user experiences and products.
• Conduct user research and testing to identify key needs, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement, using insights to guide design decision and enhance user experiences.
• Contribute to the development and establishment of a comprehensive UX research practice within the company, including defining processes, tools, and best practices to drive user-centered design across teams.
• Document UI standards and help maintain and enhance our design systems.
• Create wireframes, mockups, interfaces, flows and prototypes to test with users and communicate them cross-functionally.
• Own the entire design process from early research and ideation to problem definition and designing the solution (and iterating on it).
• Facilitate design sprints, brainstorming sessions, white-boarding and other activities to align with the larger team and come up with innovative ideas and solutions.
• Bring your passion for technology and user centered design to ship best-in-class mobile native apps, dashboards, flows, interfaces and experiences.
• Work closely with Project managers to implement feedback from customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A leader with proven experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, data, content and other designers in an agile work environment.
• Passionate for user-centered design with superb visual design skills to go through the entire process from problem definition to solution.
• Highly proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch etc. (we use Figma).
• High proficiency in UX research methods, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, with the ability to translate findings into actionable design insights.
• Self-starter with the ability to independently establish and implement UX research process, driving the development of research frameworks and ensuring alignment with broader design and business goals.
• A proven track record of designing and shipping modern, world-class products for mobile native and web.
• Experience mentoring and supporting other product designers.
• Empathic and caring about accessibility, diversity and inclusive design.
• Openness to different ideas and point of views and a general sense of curiosity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Nice to have knowledge and experience in the telecom industry.

Qualifications Required

• 6+ years work experience in UX/UI/Product design.

The base salary range for this position is $103,050 to $114,500. Range shown in $CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
