Customer Excellence is a business partnering team within Global Procurement, focused on enabling greater customer centricity in GP by gathering and sharing business insights and feedback, identifying opportunities, promoting procurement solutions and services and simplifying partnering with procurement for the business.

As the Sr. Procurement Partnering Manager for Commercial, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge to bring focus on day-to-day customer engagement to enable an excellent, end-to-end customer experience. You act as the primary contact for your respective business customer and, thanks to your deep understanding of procurement and the customer day-to-day procurement-related needs, you provide simple and seamless access for the applicable business customer to procurement, independent of the spend category.

The Opportunity:

  1. Customer domain expert providing business insights and opportunities from daily customer engagement to the procurement organization, including the tactical/operations teams, to (i) maintain and/or improve the end-to-end procurement experience for the applicable customer and (ii) proactively identify and develop opportunities where procurement can drive greater value realization for the business customer.

  2. Strategy Developer and value driver developing and driving operational and tactical business plans, including prioritization, customer buy-in for/sponsorship of applicable procurement services and solutions tailored to customer needs and aligned to overall customer and procurement strategies.

  3. Procurement ambassador and customer partner, acting as the primary point of contact for specific customers focused on simplifying and optimizing the customer experience across procurement.

  4. You will work with your team, broader capability area, networks, and squads/project teams to determine the various roles you can take to deliver or support both project and foundational work.

Who you are:

  1. You hold a university degree, with a business or life science degree preferable. You also have 7+ years with procurement (multi-category) or relevant sales or customer management leadership experience, ideally in a matrix organization as well as strong demonstrated success in building and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with senior stakeholders.

  2. Demonstrated experience in the relevant customer core business (Commercial, Sales and Marketing).

  3. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead in networked environments, cross-departments, stakeholders and geographies.

  4. Excellent communication skills with business level fluency in English.

  5. You strive to act as an enterprise thinker and leverage knowledge and expertise to create solutions for business customers by proactively fostering collaboration, including across the procurement network.

  6. You are action oriented and can make decisions and influence others to do the same; you repurpose work and ideas in favor of starting from scratch.
