Summary

This role requires a deep understanding of QSR operations, strong technical expertise, and exceptional project management skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Digital and vendors, to ensure our technology solutions meet the needs of our business and support our strategic goals.

Who you are

  • Familiar with QSR operations and the fast-paced environment, including kitchen workflows, inventory management, and operations excellence service standards.
  • Experience developing product enhancements, navigating change management, and planning product launches with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and timely execution.
  • Curious achiever to gather and analyze user feedback to inform product decisions and articulate a vision and product roadmap.
  • Knowledgeable in understanding and prioritizing the needs and preferences of users and the intersection of technology and business outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for back-of-house technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in back-of-house operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including requirements gathering, prioritization, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, create detailed specifications, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, IT, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure product solutions address their challenges.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal performance and value from third-party solutions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of back-of-house technology solutions.
  • Continuously monitor product performance and user feedback, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for restaurant staff to ensure effective use of back-of-house technology.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for technology-related issues in the back-of-house environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product or project management, with a focus on technology solutions in the QSR, retail or service industry.
  • Strong understanding of back-of-house operations in a QSR environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing technology products from concept to launch.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with external vendors and managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software development methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in systems such as POS, order management, and restaurant or hospitality workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
