Sr. Manager, HR People Partner
Job Description Summary
The Sr. Manager, People Partnering provides strategic HR Business Partner support to Canada’s Advisory Leadership to deliver people initiatives that drive business results. This role will work on key people team initiatives and projects relative to Talent Development, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Employee Relations, Org Design, Transitions, Change Management, and implementation of HR best practices. Responsible to develop, communicate, and implement HR policies and programs under the direction of HR Leadership within Canada’s Advisory business that supports the Company’s overall business plan.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consulting for Canada’s Advisory business regarding staffing needs, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, training, etc. for their respective employee populations.
- Drive workforce planning through analytics and insights.
- Collaborate with other People Team colleagues including the Centers of Expertise to bring best in class initiatives, functional alignment and effectiveness to the business.
- Data insights – provide data driven insights that drive business decisions through HR data related to key metrics.
- Employee Relations – ensure proper governance, compliance of the region. Close alignment with E&C on employee relations in region.
- Compensation - manage the annual compensation process for the region, ensuring alignment with company and regional plans, as well as consistent messaging across the platform.
- Workforce and succession planning – in close cooperation with the leadership and local HR teams, identify future resourcing needs, build succession plans and proactively identify resourcing options to close potential resourcing gaps.
- Recruitment – Support recruiting process for most senior/critical positions for the region, and liaise with assigned recruiters to drive recruitment best practices.
- Talent development – Manage talent review process, performance management, and employee growth programs, ensuring the continuous supply, development, and retention of top talent for local and regional roles.
- Training and Development – partner with L&D to maximize training and development opportunities in the business.
- Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the leadership team, as reflected by stakeholder feedback.
- Partner with Sr. Director, Americas Advisory People Partnering and Global People Leadership team on a variety of initiatives and projects across multiple HR disciplines, including, but not limited to: compensation, diversity and inclusion, governance and policy, change management, talent management, performance management, HRIS, and integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in Business or business-related field; advanced degree preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a HR Business Partner role.
- High proficiency in Excel and ability to work with numbers.
- Ability to build partnerships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a metrics-driven organization with matrix reporting is preferred.
- Project Management skills.
- Demonstrate confidence in coaching and influencing senior management.
- Ability to perform as a trusted advisor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of EEA and anti-discrimination laws.
- Related Industry and Canadian employment law knowledge.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required for communication with American and Canadian partners.
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial real estate, sales, and/or finance industries preferred.
- Professional HR Certification is desired.
- Bilingual, spoken and written fluency in English and French.
