Core Responsibilities
The Senior Manager for Corporate Communications is responsible for developing the strategic communication plan for Restaurants Brand International and managing all related corporate communication functions – inside and outside the company.
- Engages stakeholders by telling the RBI story of our growth potential, our unique business model and our iconic brands.
- Builds innovative and creative thought leadership and communications approaches that tell the RBI story to key audiences including shareholders, stakeholders and future employees.
- Works directly with C-suite leaders to engage key audiences including drafting speaking and media relations materials.
- Participates in strategy development within the communications and public affairs team and across all brands.
- Monitors issues, emerging trends and themes in the QSR industry and develops communications plans or counsels on how to manage these developments.
- Develops and implements proactive strategic communications plans to address business issues or threats.
- Works in support of RBI’s corporate initiatives and events providing advice to the CEO, Leadership Team, Investor Relations team and other relevant staff.
Works closely with our people team to bring our culture to life in everything we do. Helps promote our employer brand and employee value proposition.
- Leads, develops and implements internal communications strategies in support of RBI’s corporate objectives, programs and initiatives.
- Responsible for the integration of corporate communication plans with employee experience programs and other people strategies across all our Restaurant Support Centres (corporate offices) and distribution centres.
- Manages special events, employee engagement communications plans and strategic initiatives that focus on our big dream and values.
- Leads the communications oversight and content management for RBI’s internal portal (Workspace) and external corporate website.
Boosts our social purpose agenda and sustainability goals.
- Builds our corporate reputation by managing the communications strategy for our RBI-level sustainability strategy (Restaurant Brands for Good) and associated ESG reporting.
- Supports our Sustainability team on effective stakeholder relations and NGO management.
- Monitors trends in corporate social responsibility to help mature and keep our sustainability communications fresh and engaging.
Education and Qualifications
- A University degree in Communications, Political Science, English, Journalism, or Government Relations.
- 7+ years of professional experience in writing/journalism, corporate communications, thought leadership, editorial content management and production.
- Experience in behavioral change management and organizational readiness is a plus.
- Ability to create graphics and manage content for social and internal use.
- Data-driven with ability to understand and create relevant measurement and analytics reporting.
- Experience managing video production and storyboarding and associated budgets.
