Electrician Sr. Industrial

We are currently looking for a full-time Sr. Industrial Electrician to support production at our Halifax, NS plant. As an essential member of the maintenance team, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, and industrial automation systems.

When your actions lead to success.

• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic systems and maintain production equipment.
• Repair and replace electric and electronic components (motors, contractors, relays, timers, switches, motor controls, etc.)
• Run power supply lines to new and/or relocated equipment and wire new control panels according to drawings and verbal instructions according to CEC and applicable standards and regulations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and production supporting equipment.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures.
• Splice and terminate electrical conductors, test electrical and electronic equipment for proper function.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and ensure proper function on completion.
• Ability to complete rebuilds and modify equipment operation using parts and techniques to improve efficiency and according to manufacturer’s specs.
• Machine installation and/or move as required including initial set-up.

When your expertise drives us.

• Certificate of qualification – Industrial Electrician Red Seal.
• 7+ Years experience in Manufacturing, Industrial environments.
• Knowledge of PLC/HMI an asset.
• In depth knowledge of motor control, AD/DC motor drives, trouble shooting skills and HMI’s.
• Demonstrated troubleshooter - problem solving and technical skills.
• Strong teamwork values, priority driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility, adaptable team player with excellent organizational, time management and planning skills.
• Strong team values and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and computer skills.
• Priority driven, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Flexible and able to work shifts, varied or a steady schedule.
