Job description

Title:

HVAC Journeyman OR HVAC Technicians or Commercial HVAC Service Technicians

Great opportunity for a mid-senior Service Technician with career advancement in a Mechanical Contractor with Construction in the MEP field. A great position for someone with enthusiasm, organizational skills, and HVAC Servicing skills with Refrigeration, BAS, BMS, and equipment. Work: Full-time, Permanent

Where: Lebanon NH

Pay: $35-50/hr, based upon experience and skill level

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Service and Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency services on commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rack refrigeration. Conduct inspections, startups, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure system functionality and efficiency.
  2. Maintain systems by performing regular maintenance and checking the integrity of components and installations.

Technical Skills:

  1. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve issues, minimizing downtime. Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation accurately.
  2. Understand and apply local and federal codes (e.g., NFPA 54, NFPA 31, EPA, CSD1).

Communication and Documentation:

  1. Communicate job status and information with the dispatcher regularly.
  2. Interact professionally with customers, addressing their questions and concerns.
  3. Maintain meticulous records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, equipment specifications, and client communications.

Additional Duties:

  1. Provide on-the-job training to service apprentices when required.
  2. Prepare and submit reports, requests for supplies, and complete all timecards, work orders, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
  3. Stay informed about the latest advancements in HVAC technology and best practices.

Technical Proficiency:

  1. Knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS controllers, BAS, and standalone controls.
  2. Proficient in proper refrigeration practices and brazing techniques.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds repetitively, and climb and work from ladders up to 40 feet.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  2. Certifications:
    1. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
    2. Universal EPA certification.
    3. Vermont Type S electrical license.
    4. VT and/or NH Natural gas certification, VT and/or NH LP gas certification, NH and/or VT NORA Silver oil certification.
    5. Valid driver’s license.
