OverviewThe Sr. Ecommerce and Digital Programs Specialist executes digital marketing projects to support BISSELL Canada’s online properties. Reporting to the Digital Programs Manager, they manage the direct-to-consumer digital strategy, including email, SEO, SMS, loyalty programs, and data analytics. This role collaborates with product marketing, sales, and management to define digital strategies and a tactical roadmap that aligns with business objectives, with direct accountability for digital KPIs and revenue. They will also be responsible for collecting and documenting business requirements, direct creative and technical teams to translate these requirements into functional solutions, and ensure that all projects are delivered to spec, on time, and within budget.
ResponsibilitiesEmail marketing and SMS
- Oversee and execute email campaigns, manage marketing automation workflows, including welcome series, abandoned cart sequences, post-purchase follow-ups, and re-engagement campaigns and ensure full ownership and optimization of email marketing data.
- Manage the execution of Wunderkind email and SMS campaigns. This includes collaborating with Wunderkind to ensure the timely launch of onsite campaigns and SMS delivery aligned with key promotional events and weekly website promotions.
- Responsible for building and managing end-to-end email campaigns, from list segmentation and design to performance tracking and reporting.
- Work with the Digital Programs Manager to execute campaign calendar and launch process (scheduling, development, set-up, review, QA, deployment, rendering and reporting) for corporate branded emails.
- Use automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Optimizely) to streamline campaign execution and improve customer journeys.
- Own and manage all email marketing data, including segmentation, list hygiene, and data accuracy.
- Implement and monitor best practices for data collection, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
- Manage and maintain the CRM database, ensuring customer information is up to date and segmented for optimal targeting. Serve as the key liaison between BISSELL and our email providers by providing guidance on strategic priorities, channel objectives, and business goals.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, offering recommendations for optimization and A/B testing.
- Work closely with internal teams, including design, content, product, and analytics, to ensure emails align with broader marketing strategies and brand messaging.
Affiliate marketing
- Support and manage the affiliate marketing program, driving growth and optimizing performance. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and affiliates to ensure the program aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable results.
- Present performance reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
- Ensure all affiliate marketing activities comply with industry regulations (e.g., FTC guidelines, GDPR, etc.) and internal policies.
- Monitor competitor affiliate programs and industry developments, using insights to inform strategy and enhance program performance.
Social Commerce
- Responsible for achieving business goals across established and emerging sales channels (e.g., TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping) delivering consistent brand and consumer experience across all touchpoints.
- Oversee launching BISSELL Brand Stores on social platforms, driving consumer acquisition and revenue growth for Digital Business. This includes managing the digital shelf, executing sales promotions, influencer strategies, and utilizing new platform features to optimize performance.
Digital Team Support
- Collaborate closely with BISSELL Canada’s Digital Business on priorities such as product launches, tentpole events, and brand activations with direct accountability for managing a key pillar of the Digital Business’s shared services—analytics. Work with cross-functional teams to proactively measure, analyze, and recommend optimizations to consumer touchpoints across both DTC and online marketplaces.

Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Required Experience / Education:
Degree minimum:
- Degree minimum: Bachelor 4-year degree
- Specific concentration: Digital Marketing, Advertising or Communications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Digital Marketing, including at least 3 years of direct experience overseeing email marketing
