We are on the lookout for a seasoned Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. A Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based systems, protect data, and enhance overall performance.

The Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer will report to the Manager, Cloud Operations and work alongside a team of developers, QA specialists, security and other cloud engineers with varying specializations.

You will need to be self-motivated, organized, and have exceptional interpersonal skills to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement cloud infrastructure using IaC
  2. Design and implement cloud security solutions
  3. Optimize cloud infrastructure and drive cost management
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders on projects and initiatives
  5. Conduct proof of concept (POC) and facilitate implementation

Your Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/MIS, Math or related field or equivalent experience
  2. 8 years of software engineering experience including developing, architecting, cloud engineering, deploying highly scalable distributed computer systems
  3. 4 years of experience focused on AWS as an Application/Solutions Architect
  4. An expert in working with AWS technologies like ECS, ELB, EC2, S3, RDS, Redis, IAM, WAF, Route53, CloudFront, CodeDeploy, CloudFormation and CloudWatch
  5. Experience provisioning highly scalable infrastructure using AWS
  6. Solid programming skills in languages like Python, Shell, JavaScript, PHP and familiarity with the AWS SDK and Node.js
  7. Experience with setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  8. Experience with container management systems like Docker and Kubernetes
  9. Familiarity with design patterns and principles, including DevOps techniques, performance testing & management, and data storage & processing
  10. Strong, hands-on experience in developing and maintaining scalable, distributed, high-performance micro/web services
  11. Strong automation experience including deployment, monitoring and scaling automation
  12. Strong skills and experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Ansible
  13. Experience with setup and configuration of cloud monitoring tools - CloudWatch, Elastic Stack (ELK), New Relic, Sumo Logic, etc.
  14. Experience installing, configuring and monitoring Apache/Nginx HTTP servers
  15. Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  16. Strong analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
