This is with a large IT services firm for a large investment/financial services firm.

Candidate must have legal work status for Canada.

Client Location is downtown Montreal, QC

Hybrid - In-Office 3 days per week.

Perm - salary and benefits OR Contract - 6 months to start, renewable

Market rate

A senior Angular developer ideally with Cap Mkts experience and in Lending/Loans experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the UI development efforts for web applications designed for lending clients.
2. Design, implement, and maintain the front-end application modules using Angular.
3. Collaborate with the back-end development team who are using Java and Sybase to ensure seamless integration.
4. Ensure high performance of applications across all platforms, including desktop and mobile.
5. Develop and execute comprehensive UI/UX strategies that align with the business goals.
6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members.
7. Work closely with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and translate them into pragmatic and effective technical solutions.
8. Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design.
9. Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
10. Document all code and development practices.
11. Keep abreast with the latest developments in web application technology and UI trends.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on Angular.
2. Strong expertise in UI development with a portfolio or examples of past work and projects.
3. Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
4. Expert level knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience.
5. Solid experience in Java, with the ability to develop and integrate back-end services.
6. Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Sybase, and experience with SQL.
7. Understanding of lending processes and the financial services industry is preferred.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
