SQL DBA Consultant

Location: Mississauga, ON – Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining SQL Agent Jobs, managing SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery, and overseeing security for our SQL Server environment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
2. Oversee the administration and maintenance of SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance.
3. Provide expertise in SQL Server to develop and optimize complex queries and stored procedures.
4. SQL Agent Jobs Maintenance.
5. General SQL Server Maintenance.
6. High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
7. SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) Maintenance.
8. SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) Maintenance.
9. Manage server and database permissions, service accounts, and credentials.
10. Preferably Operational support including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of snowflake environment.
11. Familiarity with Power BI.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
13. Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
14. Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
15. Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
16. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
17. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data solutions.
18. Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business growth.
