The Role

SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Spray Welder (Welder I). This individual will have experience with basic coating skills, masking procedures with familiarity of Oerlikon Metko Diamond Jet HVOF equipment and TAFA TWA equipment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• A Specialty and Metal Sprayer has basic coating skills, masking procedures, measuring skills and able to follow metal spray equipment operation guidelines.
• Reads blueprints to ensure accuracy of finished parts.
• Resolves spray welding needs and issues by applying expertise and industry knowledge (to include usage of welding codes).
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Complete clear and accurate paperwork.
• Uses measuring tools to accurately measure parts.
• Maintains equipment in a functional and safe working order.
• Other duties as requested or required.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma with up to 3 months related workplace experience; or six months vocational/technical training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The Specialty and Metal Sprayer may require 1-2 years of general work experience.
• Must have basic knowledge of Critical Safety Devices and their purpose.
• Demonstrate the ability to accurately complete all work-related documents.
• Fluency in English (read, write, comprehend).
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Observe safety and security procedures.
